Yes, astonishingly enough, Timothy does something unplanned and perhaps ill-advised, even though he tries to play it off like a minor inconvenience.
Occasionally he does things like that.

Sixteen chapters in, and we finally start to learn a bit more about Rumil’s history besides her professional talents and unfortunate tuition-paying work. I like it that way though – having characters whose layers gradually unfold instead of getting backstory all in one go.
And it’s saved for the right point in the story, too. I mean, what else is there to do while trekking through a desert aside from talking about yourself?
